Seven illicit guns that were purportedly intended to be given to bandits were found by Nigerian Army troops in Sector 7 after they apprehended suspected arms traffickers.
Zagazola Makama, a security specialist, revealed this in a post on Monday.
According to Zagazola, the arrest took place at the Samaru checkpoint in Kaduna State’s Zangon Kataf Local Government Area during a targeted stop-and-search operation.
He claims that the operation was conducted on Monday at around 9:40 a.m. in response to reliable information about the transfer of illicit firearms from Jos, Plateau State, to Niger State.
The security expert revealed that troops had been informed that weapons were being transported in an ash-colored Mercedes-Benz by suspected arms dealers.
He continued by saying that security officers located, followed, and stopped the car at the Samaru checkpoint in Zangon Kataf while acting on the intelligence.
