Following recent terrorist attacks in Adamawa and Sokoto states, senators from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, have asked for immediate action on the State Police Bill through the Northern Senators Forum.

The senators encouraged the federal government, state governors, and state legislatures to promptly address the bill, which is awaiting ratification.
The appeal was contained in a statement published on Friday by the Chairman of the forum, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, APC, Katsina Central.
