Sector 7 troops, engaged in Operation Enduring Peace, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have apprehended a suspected kidnapper in Kamuru village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
In a social media post, renowned media and counter-insurgency specialist Zagazola Makama cited a security source stating, “The suspect was apprehended at approximately 3:30 a.m. on May 12 during a coordinated security operation in the community.”
The individual, identified as Husaini Jibrin, 45, was purportedly connected to a kidnapping event that transpired on April 26, 2026, in the Angwan Ali neighbourhood of the same local government region.
Initial enquiries suggested that the suspect might have been involved in the orchestration and implementation of the kidnapping, exacerbating anxiety among inhabitants of adjacent neighbourhoods.
The operation resulted in the recovery of a mobile phone and N10,000 in cash from the suspect.
