The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has reported the death of one of its pilgrims, Salisu Ibrahim, in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the Board, the deceased, a citizen of Niger State’s Kontagora Local Government Area, died as a result of injuries incurred in a traffic accident.
The incident apparently took place at night while he was returning from the Holy Mosque.
The Board’s Public Relations Officer, Jibrin Usman Kodo, issued a statement expressing great regret over the loss and extending condolences to the deceased’s family, the people of Kontagora Local Government Area, and the Muslim Ummah.
The announcement stated that Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim, 43, was buried in Makkah on Friday in accordance with Islamic customs.
The Board asked Almighty Allah to forgive his flaws, bless him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength to bear the loss.
It also reminded the public that it remains committed to the welfare, safety, and well-being of all pilgrims from the state.
