The decision comes after heavy rainfall and high winds left enormous amounts of debris in the state’s metropolitan centers and major villages.

Chief Solomon Iorpev, the Governor’s Technical Adviser on Media, said this in a statement on Friday.

He stated that the sanitation exercise will take place between 7 and 9 a.m., and that all local government chairmen, relevant departments, agencies, and enforcement personnel must assure full compliance without exception.

According to Chief Iorpev, citizens should clean their surroundings, clear drainage systems, and properly dispose of rubbish within the time frame specified.

He stated that movement will be restricted during the exercise, with the exception of those doing critical responsibilities.

Chief Iorpev stated that the chairmen and inhabitants of Makurdi, Tarkaa, Gboko, Ushongo, and Vandeikya local government areas should take note of this pronouncement.
