Abiodun selects six new permanent secretaries for Ogun

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of six new Permanent Secretaries.
The nominations were announced on Friday in a statement by the Head of Service, Mr. Iskeel Saka.

According to Saka, the appointments were made to fill vacancies caused by the statutory retirement of former Permanent Secretaries.

“The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Dr. Solomon Oluseyi Sokunbi, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye Akinwunmi, Mr. Adedeji Akanbi Sowunmi, Mr. Olumide Olusola Ogunbo, Mr. Dolamu Isaiah Idowu-Agida and Tpl. Musinat Abiola Ayodele,” the announcement stated.

The Head of Service stated that the appointments were made in accordance with Section 208(c) of the 1999 Constitution, with careful consideration of merit, professionalism, and inclusion.

He noted that all six appointees successfully completed the Ogun State Pipeline Leadership Development Programme, which is a prerequisite for appointment to the state’s highest public service leadership positions, including that of Permanent Secretary.

Saka stated that the selections demonstrate Governor Abiodun’s commitment to creating a more effective, responsive, and results-oriented Civil/Public Service.

He also stated that the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries were expected to display excellent leadership, integrity, dedication, and selfless service in carrying out their duties.

According to the announcement, the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries will play crucial roles in furthering ongoing reforms within the Ogun State Civil/Public Service and improving service delivery for people.

Governor Dapo Abiodun is set to inaugurate the new Permanent Secretaries on a date to be announced later.
