After a coordinated operation along the Kaduna-Abuja road, troops from the Nigerian Army’s 1 Division recovered 11 kidnapped victims in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
The development was revealed in a post on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Tuesday.
According to the report, soldiers stationed at a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Doka witnessed armed kidnappers transporting hostages along a bush route between Gidan Duna and Amale in Kachia LGA on Monday.
The military promptly mobilised and followed the culprits.
“On sighting the approaching security vehicles and motorcycles, the terrorists abandoned the victims and fled into the surrounding bush,” according to Makama.
The rescued victims were five adult males, three females, and three youngsters.
According to reports, the victims told troops that they were abducted on October 26, 2025, from the Gada Mallam Maman community in Kachia LGA. They were securely transported back to their community and reunited with their family.
Security sources stated that patrols and operations in the area have been increased to prevent similar attacks and apprehend fleeing suspects.
