On Tuesday night, people in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, assaulted a Nigeria Immigration Service office and stole guns from the policemen working there.
Locals were understandably terrified when the incident, which happened at around 10 p.m., was reported
According to those in the know, the perpetrators broke into the building, ambushed security guards, and then fled the scene with the weapons.
In an email sent to the an immigration officer confirmed the occurrence, but he asked to remain anonymous since he lacked the authority to do so.
On the other hand, the officer remained mum on whether or not any casualties were reported or the exact number of assailants.
No official statement regarding the incident has been made by the authorities at the time this story was filed.
