The Commissioner for Education, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, revealed this during an inspection trip of chosen private schools in Bauchi.

The commissioner stated that the proposed mobile court would be built in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the Bauchi State House of Assembly.

He stated that the decision was part of efforts to cleanse the education system and ensure that all private schools in the state met minimal requirements.

According to him, just 17 of the 47 private schools reviewed by the government were properly registered, with the other 30 operating unlawfully.

Abdulkadir warned that owners of delinquent schools will risk legal action and possible closure.

He said the government would continue to work with compliant school owners to improve learning outcomes and ensure quality education.

The commissioner praised the management of Sunshine International Schools and Dolphin Maria College for meeting the required standards and urged other private schools to update their registration.

The proprietors praised the commissioner for the inspection, calling it as unprecedented, and committed to continue working with the government.

The Permanent Secretary and other top Ministry of Education officials were among those on the inspection team.
