Dangote Refinery has reduced the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) gantry to N774 a litre, down from N799, in a strategic bid to compete with petroleum importers in Nigeria.
The 650,000 barrel-per-day refinery announced this in a notification on Tuesday. This means the facility has decreased its entry petrol price by N25 per litre.
“This is to notify you of a change in our PMS gantry price from N799 per litre to N774 per litre,” according to the refinery.
Meanwhile, the refinery informed gasoline traders that the gantry petrol lifting incentive had terminated.
“In addition, please be aware that the PMS lifting bonus expired at 12:00 a.m. on February 10, 2026. The equivalent credit for volumes loaded between February 2nd and February 10th, 2026, within the previously disclosed volume thresholds, will be recorded to your account statement. “Thank you for your continued partnership,” the note stated.
While Dangote’s gantry pricing is currently N774 per litre, depot owners such as Eterna and MENJ report ex-depot prices of N790 per litre, according to petroleumpriceng.com.
Dangote Refinery’s price review comes as imported petrol prices fell to an average of N721.80 per litre, according to figures provided last Friday by the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Abuja’s retail petrol prices remain between N839 and N905 per litre.
Recall that in January 2026, Dangote Refinery raised its gantry pricing to N799 per litre from N699, causing a national increase in retail fuel prices.
