Buba Galadima, a former ally of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed that Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State’s friends are urging him to forsake the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, and its National Leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Galadima believes that Yusuf’s allies started this campaign three months into the governor’s term.
In an interview with Trust TV, the NNPP chieftain intimated that Yusuf had spent enough time with Kwankwaso.
He stated: “Abba was declared governor of Kano, and three months into his reign, many of his cronies were pressuring him to leave Kwankwaso. They abandoned Kwankwaso, and I believe he has spent enough time with him.”
This comes as Yusuf has formally quit the NNPP, sparking rumours that he may move to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
