The Obedient Movement stated on Friday that it has implemented processes and digital technology to prevent rigging and manipulation in the next Anambra State governorship election.
It pledged to ensure that the electorate’s voice in the election “is not stolen or silenced.”
Yunusa Tanko, the movement’s national organiser, stated this at the George Moghalu Campaign Office in Udoka Estate.
He stated, “We come here today with a clear message of readiness, solidarity, and resolution from the Obedient Movement as Anambra State prepares for its upcoming elections.
“Let it be stated plainly that the Obedient family has a strong presence throughout Anambra State. We have finished the inauguration of our Polling Unit Commanders across the state, which totals 5,720. Our grassroots structures are alive, active, and alert from Awka, Awkuzu, and Nnewi, as well as in every community, ward, and hamlet.
“Our commitment is simple: to preserve the people’s mandate and prevent Anambra citizens’ voices from being stolen or muted. Remember the GO MERD campaign.
“We have put in place strong systems and digital technologies to thwart any attempt to rig or manipulate the election process.
“The era of writing results in back rooms has ended. This generation of Nigerians, this generation of Obedients, will not let the old system of election malfeasance reign supreme.”
