In a follow-up operation spanning Ogun and Lagos states, officers from the Ogun State Police Command’s Anti-Robbery Team apprehended two suspected armed robbers and collected three locally produced pistols and 18 live bullets.

The defendants, Adeyinka Onakomaya, 46, and Olayiwola Kehinde, 48, were nabbed for alleged armed robbery, carjacking, and illicit firearm possession.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, stated in a statement on Wednesday that the breakthrough came after months of continuous intelligence gathering following the recovery of a stolen red Toyota Matrix in April 2026.
