Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate, assured Nigerians on Thursday that supporting President Bola Tinubu beyond 2027 will make their future brighter.
Akpabio made the comment while pointing out that Tinubu’s philosophy has resulted in Nigeria no longer being a mono-economy dependent on oil.
He addressed at the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s National Executive members in Abuja.
Akpabio said that Tinubu’s leadership has made it possible for states to stop borrowing.
He stated, “Now they share almost 2 trillion each month with states of the federation, as governors here can attest, particularly Kefas and Dauda.
“All of them can confirm that they do not borrow money because we have established a non-oil economy.”
“Thanks to Mr. President’s vision, we are no longer a mono-economy dependent on oil.
“So you can imagine supporting him beyond 2027, I can see the future brighter, I can see everything turning around for our good and Nigeria.”
