Alhaji Garba Buba, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Rantan Ward in Kano State’s Bebeji Local Government Area, was shot dead by suspected bandits, along with one other person.

According to neighbours, the gunmen attacked the Rantan community on Sunday nite and started fire, killing Buba and Sulaiman Zunduma.
Locals, who did not want to be identified, said Buba was shot during the incident and died in the hospital while being treated.
