Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, claims to have received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This followed a complaint filed with the EFCC by legal practitioner Blessing Agbomhere of Blessing Agbomhere & Partners.
The petition called for an in-depth investigation into VeryDarkMan’s financial operations, sponsorship agreements, and funding routes, as well as those of activist-lawyer Deji Adeyanju.
VeryDarkMan responded on his social media page, claiming that the probe is a planned attempt to muzzle dissenting voices in the country.
The activist further claimed that members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, are utilizing legal means to launch the investigation in order to silence public criticism of the current administration’s faults.
“They want us to cease speaking out against this horrible government that has failed to protect Nigerians’ lives. So they had their people sign petitions,” VeryDarkMan posted on his Instagram site.
