Salihu Lukman, a public affairs analyst and opposition party chieftain, has stated why opposition parties should unify behind a single presidential candidate to defeat incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

In a message issued over the weekend, Lukman warned that opposition leaders’ divisions will be their Achilles heel.
According to him, only by banding together can opposition parties garner enough votes to defeat Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
