Governor Oyebanji takes an early lead as results trickle in

Biodun Oyebanji, the incumbent Governor of Ekiti State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has gained an early lead as the results of the state governorship election begin to come in.

Oyebanji had previously defeated African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Dare Bejide in his own polling unit.

The governor won 140 votes, while the ADC candidate received only 37.

Across the state, early results show the APC ahead by a large margin, with the PDP trailing and the ADC settling in third.

So far, the overall results uploaded to INEC IReV are as follows:

APC has 78,979 votes.
PDP has 10,736 votes.
ADC has 2,964 votes.
