The deadly road incident along the Bauchi-Maiduguri Highway on Saturday resulted in seven fatalities and five injuries of varied degrees, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
According to the Sector Command of the FRSC in Bauchi, a commercial Galaxy Sharon bus with registration number KRF 198XA and a MAN diesel dump truck without a registration number were involved in the collision, which happened in Kajutu village in Bauchi State.
The command states that the crash occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. Rescue workers arrived at the location at 12:22 p.m., and it was reported to the FRSC two minutes later.

Ten adult males, one adult female, and one male child were among the twelve individuals involved in the collision. Five of them—three adult males, one adult female, and one male child—were injured, while seven adult males died.
Garba Babaji, Alkali Galadima, Aliyu Samanja, Abba Abbo, Amadu Guruza, Rabiu Baura, and Ibrahim Gucho Officer were the names of the deceased.
According to reports, the dead were native residents of Bauchi State’s Misau Local Government Area.
According to the FRSC, its rescue team transported the corpses of the dead and the injured to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, where the deaths were confirmed and the injured were being treated.
Six Android phones, five keypad phones, ₦34,250 in cash, three caps, a travel bag, and a wallet were among the items found at the scene.
Former politician Senator Isah Hamma Misau responded to the tragedy by offering his sympathies to the families of the deceased and the Misau community, calling the event “heartbreaking.”
In addition to asking drivers to scrupulously adhere to traffic laws in order to help prevent similar tragedies on the country’s roadways, he prayed for the victims’ souls to rest.
