At least 11 individuals have allegedly lost their lives due to a suspected bandit assault on multiple communities in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The occurrence was confined within a post disseminated on X on Friday evening by security expert, Bakatsine.
The post indicates that the assault transpired on Thursday evening in the locales of Turtsawa, Mazau, and Majema, where armed individuals purportedly aligned with the infamous bandit leader, Bello Turji, invaded the villages and assaulted the inhabitants.
The announcement indicated that numerous individuals incurred severe injuries during the assault and are presently undergoing care at unspecified medical establishments.
Last night, 11 individuals lost their lives in assaults on neighbourhoods situated between Turtsawa, Mazau, and Majema in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The assailants are thought to be marauders affiliated with the infamous bandit chief Bello Turji. Numerous individuals incurred significant injuries and are still undergoing medical care,” Bakatsine stated.
Bakatsine his condolences to the families of the bereaved and urged for resolute measures to terminate the ongoing cycle of violence in the region.
