Sector 1 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) operators in Benue State’s Konshisha Local Government Area averted a kidnapping and saved two lives.

Officials in the security sector have stated that the abduction took place in the Agidi neighbourhood at about 8:19 a.m. on April 24.
According to the sources, the troops wasted no time in responding to the distress signal and deploying to the scene of the crime.
The source indicated that the kidnappers “abandoned the victims and fled into nearby bushes” upon seeing the troops.
After the rescue operation, the rescued individuals were brought back to their homes without incident.
The new measure is a component of continuing state-wide security operations to combat kidnapping and other criminal offences.
