Former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff has said that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), wants to partition Nigeria.

Sheriff made the claim on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ show.
He was reacting to Obi’s plea for President Bola Tinubu to resign due to the country’s security and economic circumstances.
According to him, “Peter Obi is currently pursuing the division of Nigeria because he believes in Biafra.”
“He never condemns Biafra or IPOB because he seeks to divide Nigeria. If he does not believe in the country’s divide, he should say so openly.
“Anybody aspiring to lead Nigeria must be someone who stands for Nigeria, not for any section.”
