Dr Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, believes that no Nigerian should be confident in the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) use of technology.

Amadi made the statement on Sunday at the Citizens Town Hall Meeting on the Electoral Act 2026 in Abuja, the country’s capital.
He proposed establishing a bipartisan audit commission for INEC’s technology.
According to him, “We ended the 2023 election with so many allegations and difficulties.
“The National Assembly held no public hearings; neither Mahmood nor any of the officers were put under oath to explain what occurred. That is a mess!
“Nobody should place confidence on INEC deployment of technology.”
