Mary, who worked for the same Abeokuta South LG, had Ogun State Television (OGTV) as her primary assignment (PPA).

A police source verified Olalekan’s detention, stating, “He is in our custody at the command’s headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.”

Meanwhile, when approached, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, declined to answer questions on the LGI’s arrest and alleged involvement.

However, Babaseyi said that the investigation into Victoria Ariyo’s death was still ongoing.

“I can confirm that the case of Victoria Ariyo’s death is being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department,” Babaseyi stated in a brief statement.Ariyo’s death occurred about a month after another female corps member, Adeleye Mary, a friend, died in strange circumstances.
