The true reasons state governors throughout the federation are defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, have been made public by Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule.

In an interview with Politics Today, a show on Channels Television, on Tuesday, Governor Sule said that the large defection into the ruling party is due to President Bola Tinubu’s reforms.

reports that in recent times, a few of governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the single New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) governor, Abba Yusuf of Kano State, have joined the ruling party.

“Why do the political parties panic when the governors are leaving, and their departure does not mean anything? Why does the governors’ departure become a betrayal or a problem?

As of yesterday, Caleb Mutfwang, the governor of Plateau State, was welcomed as the 29th governor. Within the next two days, the Taraba governor will also be formally welcomed into the party.

“As a result of the impact that President Tinubu’s policies have had, more governors are joining the APC.

“If you visit every state in Nigeria, you will witness significant changes due to the increased income these governors are receiving,” Sule stated.
