The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has formed a five-man reconciliation committee led by Chief Obi Onwuachu.
The committee is tasked with reconciling all dissatisfied members following the party’s primaries.
Other members of the committee are Ichie Mike Ejezie, Chief Amechi Chinweze, Chief Chris Akaghalu, and Chief Mrs Tina Aronu.
Their names were unveiled on Friday at the APC State Secretariat in Awka at an enlarged stakeholders meeting headed by Senator Emma Anosike, the party’s state chairman.
The party utilised the occasion to endorse the expulsion of seven alleged refractory members who had taken the party to court in violation of the APC’s constitution.
Furthermore, the party published the names of the three Senatorial candidates who emerged during the recent primary elections in the state.
They are Chief Mrs. Chibuogwu Benson-Oraelosi for the South, Dr. Ngozi Kene-Chiedu for the Central, and Chief Kingsley Nnalue for the North.
Addressing the stakeholders, Senator Emma Anosike, the state chairman, pledged that the party will do everything in its power to ensure that President Bola Tinubu wins the Anambra presidential election in 2027.
