This was announced by Zagazola Makama, a specialist in security and counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad region, in a post on X.

He revealed that the finding occurred during a combat patrol along the Bangalala-Adua road at approximately 7:30 a.m. on April 27.

He said that as the security forces advanced, they saw the livestock that the suspected terrorists had left behind.

We were able to retrieve the animals, and the army are now holding them until further instructions are given.

“In order to discourage additional cases of cattle rustling and other illegal activities, patrols have been stepped up in the area,” he stated.
