Why we supported Tinubu – APGA

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has disclosed why it decided to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Sylvester Ezeokenwa, the party’s National Chairman, stated on Channels Television’s ‘Morning Show’ on Friday that the decision was based on party policy and conviction.

Ezeokenwa remarked, “Well, I believe that policy was developed after much thought. As I usually say, it’s a policy, or a decision motivated by both policy and conviction.

“Policy in the sense that this is what began some years ago, specifically in 2010-2011, when the party deemed it appropriate at the time to support the presidential candidature of then-President Goodluck Jonathan.”

“The party has not deviated from that particular policy. That policy still stands.

“The next one is conviction, which means that the party believes the president is leading the country in the correct route.

“Given the needed reforms that the president has orchestrated, which probably aligns with the progressive agenda of APGA, is in the best interest of the party for the party to adopt the candidature of President Bola Tinubu.”

Remember that the APGA backed President Tinubu on Wednesday as its chosen candidate for the 2027 general election.
