Williams made the pledge on Friday at the swearing-in and inauguration of 1,166 corps members deployed to Taraba State for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Sibre, Ardo-Kola Local Government Area.

He described the three-week orientation exercise as an important program aimed to instill discipline, character, and foster national unity among graduates.

Williams told the corps members that they were no longer graduates from several colleges, but members of one national family under the NYSC plan.

“The orientation training includes more than just military drills, lectures, physical exercises, and social events. It is a school of character. He continued, “We will put your discipline, resilience, adaptability, teamwork, and emotional intelligence to the test over the next three weeks.”

The state coordinator asked corps members to behave themselves appropriately by respecting one another, following lawful instructions from camp administrators and security staff, arriving on time for all scheduled activities, and keeping the camp clean.
