A new bandit raid has killed one person and injured another in Magami Dantoro village, Gabake Ward, Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
The event was described in a post on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Sunday.
According to the post, armed invaders assaulted the village on Saturday night, killing one person, wounding another, and taking away common goods.
“Last night, bandits attacked Magami Dantoro village in Gabake Ward, Kaura Namoda LGA of Zamfara State, killing one resident, injuring another and looting community property,” Bakatsine said.
The attack has left people terrified, with many urging authorities to beef up security in the region to prevent future attacks.
According to Bakatsine, despite the tragedy, community residents praised the efforts of security officials who responded to the incident.
They also prayed for peace to return to Zamfara State, which has been repeatedly attacked by armed bandits.
